How Top Dog Day Camp Started

Hi there! We’re Lindsey Ciccone and Ashley Dean—sisters, co-founders of Top Dog Day Camp, and your resident Head Camp Counselors. You could say caring for dogs runs in our blood—we’ve been training pups since we were old enough to hold a leash!

We grew up surrounded by dogs at Top Dog Obedience School, founded by our mom, Betsy Scapicchio. From summer days spent helping out at the school to weekends on the road at dog shows, our childhood was filled with four-legged friends and plenty of training experience.

While working in our own careers and raising dogs of our own, we realized there was something missing—a safe, clean, and trustworthy place where our dogs could play, socialize, and be cared for during the day. That spark of an idea led us to launch Top Dog Day Camp in 2019, right here in Flanders.

Since then, it’s been our mission to provide the kind of loving, expert care we always wanted for our own pets. Whether your dog is here for the day or becomes a regular camper, we’re proud to offer a fun, enriching environment staffed by experienced caregivers who treat your pup like one of the family.
